Actor, writer, Musician
Hadrian has a strong record in theatre, film, and audio, decades of experience playing and creating music, and expertise in both creative and academic writing.
As an actor, he has a keen interest in classics (whether as written or newly adapted), as well as modern queer works. He is an alumnus of Lucy Allen and Tom Payne's GAP Workshops for emerging trans and non-binary actors, and of Fruit Box Theatre's RIPE Development Programme. Upcoming performances are The Janitor in Understudy No. 5 (Old Red Lion) and Caliban in The Tempest aboard the Golden Hinde (Totally Thames Festival). Notable recent credits include The Official in Unfinished Finished (Théâtre Volière); Sam in Swallow (Peculiar Matter), Dom in The Lesbians of Forest Gate (Newham Heritage Festival), and Benvolio in Star-Cross*d (Camden Fringe).
Hadrian's formative experiences of writing happened during his philosophy degree, pushing the edges of formal academic writing to keep it as casual as possible. His favourite ever bit of feedback was "Style is no substitute for substance", which he ended up embroidering on a notebook. He has recently been working on his one-man play Understudy No. 5, which has a Work in Progress showing at the Old Red Lion on Sunday 30th August.
His father quit piano as a child and regretted it so heavily that Hadrian was essentially chained to the keyboard throughout his youth. In addition to musical performance and actor-musicianship, Hadrian is also a seasoned piano teacher, with experience both in group and individual classes. He dabbles in violin, guitar, and mouth organ, and his saxophone journey is sadly paused after leaving his alto sax in Australia earlier this year.
